When I got into hemp and CBD I wanted to make sure I followed the best farming and manufacturing process possible in order to produce the best product possible. Part of that was making sure that I was following USDA Organic farming practices. But did you know that even though something might be labeled as USDA Organic, it doesn’t mean it’s pesticide free? Mind blowing, I know. That’s why it’s so important to go above and beyond the current standards when your goal is producing the highest quality CBD possible.
The United States Department of Agriculture, or USDA, regulates everything in the country that has to do with crops. The provide a lot of information that helps consumers, companies, and the economy so these guys are pretty important.
The USDA also sets guidelines on what can and can’t be labeled organic. There’s actually a long list detailing all the qualifications something has to have to be considered organic. But one thing they don’t mention in that list is pesticides. That’s because the USDA has actually created a separate list of approved pesticides farmers can use.
That’s right! There’s a list of USDA approved pesticides that can be used on crops and still be considered organic. These pesticides must be synthetic and proven not to contaminate soil or water, but that still means it’s on the food you and I eat. This may not be the worst thing, but if you’re the type of person that’s trying to be mindful of what you but in your body, you may want to think twice before taking a bite out of that USDA Organic fruit or vegetable.
I may sound like a broken record because I say this so often, but quality really does matter. And that’s why it’s so important to do your research when looking for the best CBD product for you and your family. Just like any other crop, hemp is regulated by the USDA and that includes hemp grown by Nature’s Ultra and Young Living.
But I wanted to take our hemp and CBD quality to the next level. While we used USDA Organic farming practices, we also made the conscious effort to not use harmful pesticides and put our hemp through rigorous testing to ensure the purity and potency of our CBD.
On top of all that we have Young Living’s Seed to Seal approval, so you know that you’re getting the best CBD on the market. Our attention to detail really does start at the seed with our very own agronomists that ensure our hemp is grown in a holistic environment. And every batch of Nature’s Ultra CBD is tested for CBD, contaminants, and THC before it’s bottled and shipped to your door.
Just because something is certified, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s perfect. Some organizations are willing to cut corners, but I’m not. I encourage anyone interested in CBD to do their research so they can feel comfortable using a truly quality product.
