When I started Nature’s Ultra, I wanted the CBD that we sold to be the best on the market. I wasn’t satisfied with the options that were out there, so I partnered with Young Living and together we developed Smart Spectrum CBD. But what is Smart Spectrum? Let me explain.  

What is Smart Spectrum CBD?

When I entered the CBD market I noticed that there were typically only three options for CBD: full spectrum CBD, broad spectrum CBD, and CBD isolate. In each form CBD is extracted from the cannabis plant, but by themselves didn’t offer me what I wanted.  

Here’s a brief overview of the different types of CBD:

Full spectrum - CBD that is extracted from the cannabis plant with all of the other compounds in the plant, including terpenes and other cannabinoids. It also includes THC.

Broad  spectrum - CBD that has been extracted from the cannabis plant with all of the other compounds from the plant except for THC. That means it contains terpenes and other cannabinoids from the plant. The problem here is that there hasn’t been enough research on the other cannabinoids to fully know their benefits just yet.  

CBD isolate – simply CBD with NO terpenes or other cannabinoids.
