Making connections is something I love to do. Whether it be in my personal or professional life, networking has been a great way for me to meet new people and learn new skills. I’ve been fortunate enough to make a lot of connections in the business community and I wanted to start highlighting them on this platform on a regular basis. This week I’d like to focus on CallingDr.
CallingDr was the ingenious result of a group of individuals realizing the importance of timely healthcare. After a bad batch of hurricanes in 2017, these individuals noticed that certain patients weren't able to get to their doctors due to travel limitations. Noticing a need to connect the two, CallingDr founders developed a complete telemedicine platform that connects patient and doctor through video consulting and remote monitoring. With CallingDr there's no need to drive to the office because now patients have remote access to their physician! That’s especially good for those who live outside cities and suburbs.
The way it works is pretty simple too! Basically, CallingDr is the middleman that connects patients with doctors using HD video. But let's get into a little more detail.
Patients have the benefit of seeing a doctor from the comfort of their own home. This makes it nice for those who aren’t able to drive to the office due to health-related causes, infrastructure issues, or distance. Patients can ask questions, get feedback, receive appoint reminders, and even track their vitals using their personal smart device.
Doctors can not only interact with their patients through video, but a clinical notes feature allows them to take notes during their consultation. CallingDr requires both parties to communicate through a secure patient portal and HIPAA compliant messaging ensures an extra layer of security for everyone. There’re also customized intake forms, appointment reminders, and smart device integration that can help collect vitals remotely for patient monitoring.
Why wouldn’t you choose CallingDr? It helps both patient and doctor and can easily be used by both parties. But if you still need more reasons, let me break it down.
• Consultation from their doctor in the comfort of their own home
• No travel involved
• Secure network and HIPPA compliant messaging
• Receive appointment reminders and track vitals through the CallingDr app
• In other words, more convenient
• Improve patient convenience
• Increase healthcare access for patients
• Improve flexibility
• Decrease no-shows and cancellations
• Increase patient volume and reach which in turn will (see next point)
• Increase revenue
Patients can be comforted knowing their doctor is just a video call away and doctors can check up on them much easier with remote monitoring. It’s a win-win for everyone!
I encourage everyone to look into CallingDr for themselves. You can learn more about their features and services by clicking here.
